Breakfast Places in Tulum

Breakfast, it’s the most important meal of the day! And we have three go-to breakfast places in Tulum that you have to try during your visit, Chacabar, Del Cielo, and a fan favorite, Taqueria Honorio!

Chacabar

Located in Aldea Zama’s commercial zone, this is a great restaurant any time of day, but we particularly like grabbing breakfast here in the morning before heading to the beach. It’s close to a lot of Moskito’s Vacation rentals, so an easy walk or bike ride and you’ll be enjoying a coffee and a plate of chilaquiles in no time.

Del Cielo

Located in downtown Tulum, this restaurant serves breakfast and brunch, from 8 am to 2:30 pm. This restaurant definitely has the Tulum vibe. With a healthy menu, Del Cielo uses local ingredients and makes everything from scratch, including their pastries, bread, coconut milk, yogurt, butter, you name it, Del Cielo is making it in-house.

Taqueria Honorio

I know what you’re thinking, who eats tacos for breakfast? The answer – everyone in Mexico. And once you try the tacos at Taqueria Honorio, you’ll be a part of that group. This taco spot is famous with locals, nestled in downtown Tulum, on Avenida Satelite. Recently remodeled, it is unheard of to arrive at Honorio and see a line of people outside. And that’s how you know you’ve found the best spot in town. Lechon (pork) quesadillas, cochinita (also pork) tacos, fresh-squeezed orange juice and you are well on your way to basically the perfect start to any day.

Fun fact – Taqueria Honorio was featured on Netflix’s Taco Chronicles. Trust us when we say that you’ve never had tacos this good in your life!
Put these three incredible choices for breakfast places in Tulum on your must-visit list while you’re in town! And if you’re a regular in Tulum and have another favorite, please share it with us in the comments, we are always looking for new breakfast places in Tulum to try!
